Alliance for Youth Action & Organizing

Annual Reports

I had the privilege of partnering with the Alliance for Youth Action for three years on their annual report, helping to amplify progressive people power across America. In 2020, I led the team that transformed the report into a dynamic microsite, designed to engage their young audience while serving as a reusable template. Each year, we adapted the design to reflect the organization’s evolving challenges—because bold actions deserve bold design, and the Alliance never shied away from embracing a fresh, impactful look.

2020: Joy, Resiliency, Innovation

A microsite was developed for the 2020 report. The microsite included filterable maps, links to relevant press mentions and more. This allowed the user to dive deep and interact with the report data like never before.

The microsite's hero element was a custom video version of the president’s letter. This approach to a letter was an innovative, interactive take on the traditional format. The result was a dynamic reel highlighting key achievements from an exceptionally challenging year.

2019: What Off Year?

In 2019, I crafted a bold, irreverent look for the annual report to match the year’s energy. I also developed a sub-brand for the organization’s annual convention, YAS!

That year’s design expanded the Alliance’s core branding with vibrant new colors, three-dimensional elements, and engaging information design—clearly showcasing their impact in 2019.

2018: Get That Power

In my first year partnering with the Alliance for Youth Action, I followed their brand guidelines closely to highlight the organization’s accomplishments. The data-driven report showcased key milestones and the interconnected network of partner organizations, all presented in a unified voice.
