The Corey

Evolution of a Neighborhood

Lock7 Development approached me to name, brand and market its newest mixed-use project in DC’s trendiest neighborhood. Drawing on competitive analysis and audience research, I developed a branding system with distinct character and impact, tailored to resonate with the neighborhood's dynamic demographic.

Naming and Identity

The Corey name draws inspiration from both the building’s architecture – Le Corbusier is the father of Art Deco – and its setting in the H St. Corridor. The custom font is also inspired by Art Deco, but through a modern lens. The underlined H is another subtle nod to its H St location.
